Well… not having a heated garage and only gravel ground creates a lot of challenges… before painting the entire car I wanted to get the doors done. Out of interest and just as a reward for myself. BUT. No heating meant putting them into the boiler room of the house. Means, a lot of carrying.

I started out with banging as much as I could on those aluminum panels. Then cleaning and sanding. Limited budget meant just putty work, rather then putty and acrylic filler. Priming, of course. After laying a thin layer with a 1,4 nozzle of Cobra Bedliner. I had a decision to make. Keep it like this, as planned… or adding 2,5mm nozzle 8 bar structure to it. Reason why it ended up that way, is to help covering up the warped door panels. Which is a common Defender issue. And I know why 🤦‍♂️

Anyway. The inside panel got the same treatment and will get stainless steel bolts keeping them in place. Looks cool, can be easily removed and cleaned, and we got away with those plastic clips, which brake a lot.
